About TJay Gerber (Author)
I’m TJay Gerber – a dad, husband, and storyteller who believes some of life’s biggest lessons come from the smallest moments. My stories usually start the same way: with a curious question from my son, a walk outside, and a notebook that’s never far from reach.
Fly, Dragon, Fly! began as one of those moments – a question in our vegetable garden that grew into a tale about friendship and transformation, and a sense of wonder about how things come to be.
When I’m not writing, you can usually find me outside with my family – skiing, hiking, biking, or just getting a little muddy on the trail. Colorado’s wild spaces are where I think best and where many of my ideas take shape.
At the heart of my writing is a simple goal: to remind kids (and grown-ups!) that curiosity and kindness can change the world – one small story at a time.

About Andrea Box (Illustrator)
I have been an artist for almost my whole life – it all started in the 3rd grade when I did a drawing of my shoe. I’ve done things from pet portraits to community centered commissioned artwork thru CSFlight, to event posters, to daily sketches and Inktober prompts. Illustrating a children’s book has always been a dream of mine and I really appreciated TJay choosing me to work with for this lovely book.
